1. Introduction

Welcome to Autumn Hogg Lactation

These Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Terms of Service”) govern your use of my website and services (together or individually, the “Service”) operated by Autumn Hogg Lactation

My Privacy Policy also governs your use of my Service and explains how I collect, safeguard, and disclose information that results from your use of my website and services.

Your agreement with me includes these Terms and my Privacy Policy (“Agreements”). You acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Agreements.

If you do not agree with (or cannot comply with) these Agreements, then you may not use the Service. If you have any questions, please contact me at autumn@autumnhogg.co.uk. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use the Service.

2. Data Protection

Information provided to Autumn Hogg Lactation will be stored electronically in accordance with EU/UK applicable data protection and security laws.

I only use your personal data for the purposes of providing lactation care and support. I will not share your data unless required or permitted as described below:

  • I may share information with your midwife, health visitor, GP, or other relevant healthcare professionals if I believe this is necessary for your or your baby’s wellbeing. Where possible, I will inform you before doing so, unless I believe that doing so would place you or your baby at risk.

  • With your permission, I may consult with other IBCLCs to further support your care.

  • I will not record private video consultations. If you choose to record a session from your end, please let me know beforehand.

3. Purchases

If you wish to purchase a service made available through Services, you may be required to provide relevant information including, but not limited to, your payment details and billing information.

You represent and warrant that:
(i) you have the legal right to use any payment method provided; and
(ii) the information you supply is true, accurate, and complete.

I may use third-party services to process payments. By submitting your information, you grant me the right to provide this information to third parties in accordance with my Privacy Policy.

I reserve the right to refuse or cancel appointments at any time for reasons including, but not limited to, availability, illness, family emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances.

4. Consent

By booking a consultation, you consent to me working with you and your baby during the consultation and any agreed follow-up communication.

Due to the nature of lactation support, consultations will likely involve exposure of your breasts. During a consultation, I may ask to visually assess or gently touch your breasts to make an assessment of any breast/nipple damage, latch, or tissue condition. I will always explain what I am asking to do before proceeding.

During in-person consultations, I may also ask to carry out an oral assessment of your baby’s mouth. Any procedure will be explained in advance and carried out using appropriate safety precautions.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time. If consent is withdrawn, I will immediately stop.

I am not a medical doctor or a tongue-tie practitioner. I cannot diagnose medical conditions. I can provide evidence-based information, discuss what is considered within a typical range, and support informed decision-making. Any medical concerns will be referred to your primary healthcare provider. If I suspect a tongue-tie, I will recommend assessment by a qualified tongue tie practitioner.
